Movie screening of Lagaan
On 15th August 2018 in Department of English MKBU film screening committee organized film screening of 'Lagaan'. Lagaan is bollywood movie directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Amir Khan in 2001. Movie is about fighting of Indian people against Britishers but not as a war. Here Britishers give Indian people one challenge about playing game of Cricket and if they will win, they have not pay Tax for next 3 years. Main protagonist of movie, Bhuvan accept the challenge and tried to made team of his villagers. He doing lot of struggle with his villagers to involve them in his team and teach them how to play cricket. Elizabeth ,sister of Andrew Russel help Bhuvan ' s team and gave them guidelines for playing the game. At last they won the match and his village get freedom from Tax and also from Britisher.
