In our Department of English MKBU on 26th july 2018 we had movie screening of The Scarlet Letter. This novel is written by Natheniel Hawthorne. I have found the difference between movie and the original novel. 1)In the novel we can find that novel opens with custom  house but in  the movie we can find other burial seen. 2)  In the novel we can find first that Hester Prynne was  with her daughter Pearl  but in movie Story begins with love story of Hester Prynne and Dimmesdale. 3) In novel author mentioned the letter 'A' on Dimmesdale' s chest but in movie we can not find it. 4) In movie the daughter of Hester 'pearl'is still little and she has not any relationship with nature. But in novel Hawthorne mentioned good relationship with nature  of  Pearl. 5)In the  movie we find the relationship of Hester with her slave as Master slave relationship but in the  novel we are not able to find it. 6)In the movie Roger Chillingworth was aslo committed suicide  b

' The kite Runner' The kite Runner is written by Khalid Huseni,and translated by Ritesh Kristi. Khalid Huseni  born in Afghanistan and his family shift in America in 1980. This is the first novel of Huseni. આ નવલકથા માં એક મુસલમાન બાળક ની વાત છે. તેં નવલકથા નો નાયક છે. તે પશ્તુન હોય છે અને  તેનો મિત્ર હસન હઝારા હોય છે.  નાયક નુ નામ આમિર  છે. તેનાં પિતા અફઘાન મા આવેલા કાબુલ શહેર માં ખૂબ નામદાર માણસ છે. તેનાં પિતા એ જેમને આશરો આપેલો તેવા માણસ અલી અને તેમનો પુત્ર હુસેન ત્યાં જ રહે છે. પશ્તુન હોવુ એ લોહી ની સંપૂર્ણ શુદ્ધતા માનવામાં આવે છે . પશ્તુન અને હઝારા લોકો વચ્ચે કેવી દુશ્મનાવટ હતી તેનો ઉલ્લેખ અહી છે. આમિર અને હુસેન પોતાનુ બાળપણ સાથે વિતાવે છે.આ નવલકથા માં અફઘાન માં થતાં પતંગ મહોત્સવ ની વાત છે. બાળપણ માં હુસેન આમિર માટે પતંગ લૂંટી અવે છે અને રસ્તા માં તેની સાથે એક ઘટના બને છે. એ ઘટના પછી બન્ને જણા છૂટા પડી જાય છે. અમુક કારણો નાં લીધે હુસેન અને તેના પિતા ઘર છોડી ને ચાલ્યા ગયા. આમિર ને પણ અફઘાન છૉડવું પડે છે. તેં તેનાં પિતા સાથે અમેરિકા જઇ ને વસે છે. તેનાં જ સ

On 26th july in our Department we watch movie The Scarlet Letter. This is based on novel of Nathaniel Hawthorne. The story begins in seventeenth-century Boston, then a Puritan settlement. A young woman,  Hester Prynne, is led from the town prison with her infant daughter, pearl,  her arms and the scarlet letter “A” on her breast. A man in the crowd tells an elderly onlooker that Hester is being punished for adultery. Hester’s husband, a scholar much older than she is, sent her ahead to America, but he never arrived in Boston. The consensus is that he has been lost at sea. While waiting for her husband, Hester has apparently had an affair, as she has given birth to a child. She will not reveal her lover’s identity, however, and the scarlet letter, along with her public shaming, is her punishment for her sin and her secrecy. On this day Hester is led to the town scaffold and harangued by the town fathers, but she again refuses to identify her child’s father. The elderly onlooker

Modern literature focus on Realism. The realism of the age has further been enhanced by scientific discoveries. The poem explain the situation of poor people and about fallen man. In the poem we have found the symbol of Golden heels,old star  which presents the modern era. Some images came here is that Finesses of fiddles,Star-eaten blanket. The gentleman is the metaphor. 'The waste Land 'poem by T.S.Eliot. This poem is divided in 5 parts. All parts make various images about  The Waste Land. 1) What are your views on the following image after reading The Waste Land? Do you think that Eliot is regressive as compared to Nietzsche's view?or has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling mytho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise? In Nietzsche's Ubermensch  we find morality. Nietzsche's point is about superhuman and Eliot's point is about backward looking . Both are right on their  own view but the also different from each other. In the poem Eliot believes in God , spirituality and religion. In other side Nietzsche believes in superhuman who has strength and believe in own self. In our history also we can find that type of people who did not believe in God and try to rulling on people. We find oneness in whole literature. All literature connected with each other,all those which are already written,those being written and those yet to be written. One must have an understanding of this continuity. T.S. Eliot's view T.S.Eliot said  in his  Tradition and individual talent that the best and the most individual part of poet's work is that reflects maximum influence of writers of past. He also said that no poets ,no artist of any art has his complete meaning alone. His appreciation is the application of his relationship with dead poets. Northrop Frye He developed the theory of Archetypal criticism. He said that the whole literature has oneness of its existence. All share oneness and common DNA or skeleton. We find oneness of literature in T.S.Eliot's 'The Waste Land' and Anton Chekhov's short story 'A Joke'. In Waste land we find this lines is connected with Chekhov's short story. On 6th july in our Department of English MKBU in paper of English Language Teaching we saw one movie Matilda.Matilda is main protagonist of the movie. 1) Childhood of Matilda Matilda wormwood  is very beautiful and genius girl. She live with her parents Harry and Zinnia . Her family always ignored her and did not pay attention towards her education. Her father always scold her and said that "I am smart you are dumb,I am big you are little, I am right you are wrong." Her brother Michael also mistreat her. 2) Matilda's love for books In her house she start to reading books and she got knowledge about education. She  loves to read books so she join library. She also learnt about mathematics and other subjects from  the books. Her favorite book is Moby Dick - Herman Melville. 3)About her family Matilda is being left alone at home . Her father is at work and her mother playing bingo. Her parents has no interest in education . They always scold Matilda wormwood

On 11th july in Department of English MKBU our madam had gave us task to write something about rain. So this is my view on rain. Monsoon..... This is the season of new life, season of love and romance,and also season of rebirth. I love this  season very much. The beginning of the season is june month and end of this is september but I think that this is very short time for rainy season. But we all know that without sun rays we can not live so also summer and other seasons are  important. Importance of this season The drop of water is the drop of life for  all the living  things like human beings,animals,and plants. This is the season of freshness. This is the season of rebirth. We felt happiness when rain is coming. This season is very important for framers  because if rain came  then only they can grow the grain in the farm. Mario vargas Llosa ,the Peruvian novelist was awarded  the noble prize for literature in 2010. These abuses we are find everywhere. So I have total sympathy for Me too Movement. It is for more justice ,for democracy and equality. In our society now we have a kind of problem for feminism. yesterday in our Departme of English we had seen movie The Great Dictator by charlie Chaplin. This is a political satire-comedy drama and also this was Chaplin's first true sound film. This is a story of a period between two world wars. This movie present industrialization and dictator thing. The dictatorial intellectualism which was rooted in contempt for normal intelligence. In this movie we find the riots against Jewish people. Chapline lost his memory during war  and then he live the life of barber. Chaplin also play with globe that shows that how one powerful man got the position and how he plays with the world. He think that he has authority for governance on the world and they cheat with public. This make political satire on our government. At the end of the movie Chaplin gives very important speech on democracy . He also suggest how to live in independent nation and how to live together.

On 29th june in our Department of English our head Dr. Dilip Barad had planning for film screening of Modern Time  by charlie Chaplin. We all know that calendar and clock plays very important role on human life and also control it .So we all came under the control of it. In modern time people follow the culture of industrialization. Also all factory Master present the idea of control and show their power. From ancient time to modern time and still today we are control by someone.After independence we all are control by our government. That shows that we got liberty from British people but we have not independent thoughts. The first seen of movie presents this  that how people follow the rules like this crowd and have not independent thoughts. This letter also shows the power of government on the people. How Chaplin got this letter and  he got job. Today we can see this type of situation around us that how rich people get all the benefit with this kind of acquaintan
