Archetypal criticism

1) what is archetypal criticism? What does the archetypal critic do?

Archetypal criticism which one is a type of critics theory they interprets a text by focusing on myths and symbols, images and characters types . It narrates theme , design and pattern of action. Archetypal criticism shows primordial images the psychic residue. It shows repeated pattern of experience in our ancient ancestors which he maintained.

The archetypal critic emphasize the occurrences of mythical patterns in literature. These myths are closest to the elemental archetype than the artful manipulation.

2) What is Frye trying prove by giving an analogy  of physics to nature and criticism of literature..

An analogy of physics in nature and criticism of literature Frye trying to prove that physics is an organized body of knowledge about nature and a student of it says that he is learning physics not that he is learning nature. In criticism a subject of systematic study and has to be distinguished from the study itself.

3) share your view of criticism as an organized body of knowledge. Mention relation of literature with history and philosophy.

It is learned progressively. In the learning of literature experience is also something progressive about it. Relation of literature with history and philosophy the students has to turn to the conceptual framework of the historian for events and to thay of the philosopher for idea. In art and criticism philosophy is to wisdom and history to action..

4) Briefly explain inductive method with illustration of Shakespeare's Hamlet's grave digging scene .

In Shakespeare's Hamlet in grave digging scene inductive method Hamlet first express his love towards Ophelia and after it  his struggle with Laertes . In it sealing of his own fate and sudden sobering of his mood that marks the transition to the final scene. He returns to the grave that so weirdly yawned open on the stage.

5) Briefly explain deductive method with reference to an analogy to music, painting , rhythm and patterns. Give examples of the outcome of deductive method.

To apply deductive method in an analogy to music Frye says that music has rhythm and painting has patterns. In painting blink of eyes we can get idea of pattern of painting.
We can get perfect expression of painting of Monalisa's painting by Leonardo da Vinci.
In music at first perhaps we can not understand the rhythm of it..

6) Refer to the Indian seasonal grid. If you can please read small gujarati or hindi or english poem from the archetypal approach and apply indian seasonal grid in the interpretation.

Spring is rain showers
and umbrellas.
Spring is colorful flowers
and green grass.
Spring is new life
and rebirths
Spring is sweet fragrance
and romance.
Spring is earth's awakening.
