Navratri in Gujarat
India is country of variation. In India all the festivals are celebrating by people very enthusiastically.
In Gujarat Navratri has big importance. People are doing worship of Devi Amba in this nine days. People bring one little pot of clay which is called 'ગરબો' in gujarati.
They decorates it and put it in front of Devi and enkindle it every night.

There is very beautiful history of Gujarati garba in Gujarat. Everywhere People starts preparation for this festival before fifteen days of celebration. Girls and boys prepare their tradisional dress for Navratri. In school and college aslo they have celebration of it on one day.
Man and woman play Garba after they worship devi Amba. Some people do 9 days fast and worship devi Amba.
Everywhere ,the sound of loud music and orchestra is playing and people enjoy garba. In every street you can find people who playing garba in pandal.
Now in 21st century this is become competition. In all the place you can find party plot and competition for Garba. They play Garba full night still 9 day and on last day the competition is become very tough. Who will be win the competition they got big prize for it.
On 10th day people celebrate Dusshera. In Indian history , this day is the victory day of lord Rama . On this day he fight with Ravana and won the war. So truth wins over false. People eat sweets on this day and enjoy to distribute sweets also.

In 2018 Gujrat government has made one rule that during this 9 days of navratri in all the schools and college have holiday. This is compulsory for all the schools and colleges. Some of them schools and colleges resist their voice against it that they will not follow this rule and education will be going on.
So people enjoy the festival a lot and playing garba very enthusiastically.
