In our Department of English MKBU on 26th july 2018 we had movie screening of The Scarlet Letter. This novel is written by Natheniel Hawthorne. I have found the difference between movie and the original novel. 1)In the novel we can find that novel opens with custom  house but in  the movie we can find other burial seen. 2)  In the novel we can find first that Hester Prynne was  with her daughter Pearl  but in movie Story begins with love story of Hester Prynne and Dimmesdale. 3) In novel author mentioned the letter 'A' on Dimmesdale' s chest but in movie we can not find it. 4) In movie the daughter of Hester 'pearl'is still little and she has not any relationship with nature. But in novel Hawthorne mentioned good relationship with nature  of  Pearl. 5)In the  movie we find the relationship of Hester with her slave as Master slave relationship but in the  novel we are not able to find it. 6)In the movie Roger Chillingworth was a...

' The kite Runner' The kite Runner is written by Khalid Huseni,and translated by Ritesh Kristi. Khalid Huseni  born in Afghanistan and his family shift in America in 1980. This is the first novel of Huseni. આ નવલકથા માં એક મુસલમાન બાળક ની વાત છે. તેં નવલકથા નો નાયક છે. તે પશ્તુન હોય છે અને  તેનો મિત્ર હસન હઝારા હોય છે.  નાયક નુ નામ આમિર  છે. તેનાં પિતા અફઘાન મા આવેલા કાબુલ શહેર માં ખૂબ નામદાર માણસ છે. તેનાં પિતા એ જેમને આશરો આપેલો તેવા માણસ અલી અને તેમનો પુત્ર હુસેન ત્યાં જ રહે છે. પશ્તુન હોવુ એ લોહી ની સંપૂર્ણ શુદ્ધતા માનવામાં આવે છે . પશ્તુન અને હઝારા લોકો વચ્ચે કેવી દુશ્મનાવટ હતી તેનો ઉલ્લેખ અહી છે. આમિર અને હુસેન પોતાનુ બાળપણ સાથે વિતાવે છે.આ નવલકથા માં અફઘાન માં થતાં પતંગ મહોત્સવ ની વાત છે. બાળપણ માં હુસેન આમિર માટે પતંગ લૂંટી અવે છે અને રસ્તા માં તેની સાથે એક ઘટના બને છે. એ ઘટના પછી બન્ને જણા છૂટા પડી જાય છે. અમુક કારણો નાં લીધે હુસેન અને તેના પિતા ઘર છોડી ને ચાલ્યા ગયા. આમિર ને પણ અફઘાન છૉડવું પડે છે. તેં તેનાં પિતા સાથે અમેરિકા જઇ ને વસે છે...

On 26th july in our Department we watch movie The Scarlet Letter. This is based on novel of Nathaniel Hawthorne. The story begins in seventeenth-century Boston, then a Puritan settlement. A young woman,  Hester Prynne, is led from the town prison with her infant daughter, pearl,  her arms and the scarlet letter “A” on her breast. A man in the crowd tells an elderly onlooker that Hester is being punished for adultery. Hester’s husband, a scholar much older than she is, sent her ahead to America, but he never arrived in Boston. The consensus is that he has been lost at sea. While waiting for her husband, Hester has apparently had an affair, as she has given birth to a child. She will not reveal her lover’s identity, however, and the scarlet letter, along with her public shaming, is her punishment for her sin and her secrecy. 'The waste Land 'poem by T.S.Eliot. This poem is divided in 5 parts. All parts make various images about  The Waste Land. 1) What are your views on the following image after reading The Waste Land? Do you think that Eliot is regressive as compared to Nietzsche's view?or has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling mytho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise? In Nietzsche's Ubermensch  we find morality. Nietzsche's point is about superhuman and Eliot's point is about backward looking . We find oneness in whole literature. All literature connected with each other,all those which are already written,those being written and those yet to be written. One must have an understanding of this continuity. T.S. Eliot's view T.S.Eliot said  in his  Tradition and individual talent that the best and the most individual part of poet's work is that reflects maximum influence of writers of past. He also said that no poets ,no artist of any art has his complete meaning alone. His appreciation is the application of his relationship with dead poets. Northrop Frye He developed the theory of Archetypal criticism. He said that the whole literature has oneness of its existence. All share oneness and common DNA or skeleton.
