Difference between movie and novel of The Scarlet Letter.
In our Department of English MKBU on 26th july 2018 we had movie screening of The Scarlet Letter. This novel is written by Natheniel Hawthorne.
I have found the difference between movie and the original novel.
1)In the novel we can find that novel opens with custom house but in the movie we can find other burial seen.
2) In the novel we can find first that Hester Prynne was with her daughter Pearl but in movie Story begins with love story of Hester Prynne and Dimmesdale.
3) In novel author mentioned the letter 'A' on Dimmesdale' s chest but in movie we can not find it.
4) In movie the daughter of Hester 'pearl'is still little and she has not any relationship with nature. But in novel Hawthorne mentioned good relationship with nature of Pearl.
5)In the movie we find the relationship of Hester with her slave as Master slave relationship but in the novel we are not able to find it.
6)In the movie Roger Chillingworth was aslo committed suicide but in novel he meet with natural death.
In the novel he gave his property to pearl but in movie we can not find his any kind of sympathy for pearl.
7) In the novel Dimmesdale aslo became ill and meet with death but in movie he was alive and we had not faound any kind of illness.
8) In the novel Dimmesdale and Chillingworth both were died but in movie Dimmesdale was alive and live with his wife and daughter.
Mean movie presents happy ending.
So this kind of difference we can find in both.
