Movie review of Frankenstein

Frankenstein written by Mary Shelley and the movie Frankenstein directed by Kenneth Branagh.

1)  What are some major difference between movie and novel the Frankenstein?

In  novel  Henry is a friend of victor Frankenstein's since childhood while in movie Henry meets him in university.

In novel Justine admits her murder even if she is innocent while in movie she is executed after a trial . 

In novel at the end of novel Monster ran away from there but in movie he cremated himself with victor Frankenstein's dead body. 

2) Did this movie help you in understanding the plot of novel?

Yes this movie help me to understanding the plot of novel because to watching the movie I got all theme and structure of novel . Also can understand that what was original climax of novel without reading novel.

3) Who do you think is real Monster?

I think in Frankenstein both Victor Frankenstein and Monster were Real Monster because in Victor's character we also find some elements as like Monster . Same aa after reading Victor Frankenstein's journal Monster got a gestalt of real Monster. 

In this we can also says that in both character there was not any bad intention as like Monster have but situation makes  them forcing to become like Monster.

4)  From where Mary Shelley get the idea of the novel Frankenstein?

She get idea when she stayed in a manor on lake of Geneva with her future husband Percy by she and writes Lord Byron and John Polidari . 

Mary was also use the incident of her mother's death in this novel that same as victor Frankenstein's mother died on to giving birth of Victor's brother William. 

5)Do you think search for knowledge is dangerous and destructive?

Yes if man has desire for getting all kinds of knowledge it becomes very dangerous at one day for him. In this movie victor Frankenstein has desire for getting knowledge about giving life of dead body and he also got succes in it he created Monster but at the end he realize that it was his mistake and now it becomes very harmful for him and for society. 

6)What are the myth used by Mary Shelley in the Frankenstein?

1 she use myth in title and also use myth of Prometheus.

2 she use myth of paradise lost's character Adam . In this she takes desire of companion for Monster same like in paradise lost Adam has companion Eve.

3 she also took mythical reference of narcissus in it. 

7) Write about narratology in Frankenstein.

In Frankenstein main novel created like box within box narration . First Walton narrates this  to his sister , second Frankenstein narrates all  the things to Walton and last Monster narrates all the novel. In this Shelley uses thematic  search in the story for something deep dark and secret at the heart of the narrative. It is written in 1st person narrative but there are 3 1st person narrative.
